For many years, Kris Van Assche has been creating one of the most popular looks, the combination of sportswear and suits. He is known for his minimal designs and this season he manages to show strong looks combining short-suits, trousers, polo shirts and parkas.

We love minimal, and this is the best example of successful minimalism. We believe that Kris Van Assche ss14 collection can be worn by any traditional man outside of the industry. We really enjoyed the show and we are looking forward to his next collection! v&f xx

 When did you start modelling and how?

I was scouted when I was about 15 and I didn't really think much of it then again when I was 17 but I was at school .Then when I was 19 I was scouted by Cesar Perin from Unsigned Management ,they then placed me with agencies in different countries and it all went from there really.

 If you weren't modelling now, what do you think you’d be doing?

I’m still at Uni at the moment but I have taken time off, so right now I would probably be sat in a boring room listening to a boring lecture wishing I was somewhere else.

 Runway or editorial?

Pretty tough but probably runway, you get more of a buzz from it and you are usually doing the shows with your mates, which is better than being stuck in a studio for the day. Also if you’re lucky you can get some pretty good food at shows and there is usually a lot of it, although I did do some editorials in Japan with amazing food, but in London not so much.

 Which designer you want to work with?

Something with Burberry would be sweet, the Prorsum collection by Christopher Bailey is really nice at the moment especially some of the jackets.

 Guilty pleasure?

Spending money on things I really don't need.

 Something you bought really expensive and you regretted it?

I bought a nice pair of sunglasses which was pretty pointless because I have never worn glasses and don't think I ever will. They are nice to look at though which makes me feel slightly better when I think of how much money I wasted on them.

 5 things you can't live without?

My wallet, twitter, hot water, family& friends and happy people.

 Favourite song at the moment?

Jack White - Love Is Blindness or anything by Daft Punk

 What’s your moto?

I don't really have one, but I will let you know when I do!

Adventurous

 When did you start modelling and how?

I started modelling one and a half year ago. I was at the Athens Exclusive event when a scouter/model came to me and asked me if I was interested in modelling.

 Do you ever get shy in front of the camera?

No!

 Runway or Editorial?

Both.. I can’t choose! Editorial is good because you can use the photos for your book. The runway is fun because you get to meet a lot of people, from different cultures with diverse ideas and it’s really important! 

 Is there anything else besides modelling that you would like to do?

I want to be an actor. I think I will be good at it because being a model and doing editorials it’s almost the same thing. Every photoshoot has a story behind it, for example in one shoot I will be ‘the bad boy’ and in another ‘the business man’. 

 What do you do when you are not working?

I dance! All the time

 Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

Hmm.. I think I’ll be engaged, or in a serious relationship, have my own place, be independent and happy.

 Secret Talent?

I design my own clothes which is really creative

 5 things you can’t live without?

Internet, friends, food, sun and sex!

 You've got a lot of tattoos.. Tell us about them!

I didn’t do them because of the trend! I’ve done them for me. I had them before modelling. Most of my tattoos represent something from my life.

  Did your tattoos help you book more jobs?

Yes and No.. I've lost a lot of jobs because of them but I've also booked a lot because of my tattoos.

 Cats or Dogs?

Dogs!

 Favourite place in the world?

New York, I’ve never been but I will go there one day

I don’t really mind, depends on the woman

 What do you first notice in a girl?

Smile and eyes

 You started modelling one and a half year ago.. how many runways and editorials have you done so far?

Well, I’ve walked for Givenchy, Philipp Plein, Rocobarocco, Frankie Morello, Bikkembergs and Jean Paul Gaultier, so 6 in total! Most of the editorials I've done are for Greek magazines like Esquire, Homme, Life & Style and Cosmopolitan.  I've done the lookbook for Jean Paul Gaultier in Paris as well.

I also worked with music artists in Greece, like Despoina Vandi and Elena Paparizou, for their music videos.

 How do you feel that you are just 21 and you achieved so much in the industry already?

I feel very lucky and blessed because I have the chance to travel a lot and meet quite interesting people :)
